Overview
The HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital Research Day Symposium is an institution-wide academic event designed to showcase and advance research, innovation, and scholarly activity across our clinical community. This half-day program brings together residents, fellows, faculty, and ancillary support staff to engage with a broad range of scientific and educational presentations. Featured content includes original research studies, clinical case reports, quality improvement initiatives, and emerging innovations in technology that impact patient care and healthcare delivery. Through interactive sessions and multidisciplinary discussion, participants gain exposure to current investigative work, strengthen their understanding of evidence-based practice, and foster collaboration across specialties. The conference supports the ongoing development of clinical inquiry, critical thinking, and professional growth within the HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Apply key principles of research methodology and quality improvement to interpret study design, results, and clinical relevance of presented projects.
  2. Evaluate research and quality improvement findings to determine their applicability to clinical practice and opportunities for improving patient care.
  3. Incorporate evidence-based insights from presented studies into clinical decision-making and identify opportunities to implement similar initiatives within their own practice setting.
