Overview
All members and specialties of the care team need a forum to examine trauma-related topics, cases, and outcomes. Trauma Grand Rounds provides a forum to help doctors and other healthcare professionals keep up to date in important, evolving areas which may be outside of their core practice. Trauma Grand Rounds will disseminate knowledge and lead to improved patient outcomes. Topics and cases seen in practice are presented and opportunities in care are discussed. Some topic examples are: Managing Atrial Fibrillation in Trauma Patients, Spinal Cord Injuries, and Interventional Radiology in Neurotrauma.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Manage the care of trauma patients incorporating evidence-based evaluation management guidelines.
  2. Critically review and analyze trauma cases resulting in death and/or complications to improve quality and safety of patient care.
  3. Increase opportunities for clinicians to gain exposure to high risk/low frequency procedures, trauma/disease process as well as operational processes.

Accreditation
HCA Healthcare Graduate Medical Education is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
