Overview
This is a monthly case conference presentation and discussion that will include review of cases including mechanical thrombectomies, delayed delivery of TNK, treatment of aneurysms with coiling/clipping procedures, and any other neurology cases that have poor outcomes, death, or complications. The purpose of these case reviews is to improve processes and outcomes in the treatment of acute stroke patients and reduce complications. The activity also allows for multidisciplinary and multi-departmental communication about neurological care of acute patients.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Express comprehensive knowledge of complex neurological treatment with expected processes for acute stroke
  2. Define the treatment goals as outlined in current evidence for complex neurological patients
  3. Review the importance of time goals on outcomes of care for acute neurology patients
  4. Discuss evidence-based practices of complex neurological care with medical staff and interdisciplinary team

Accreditation
HCA Healthcare Graduate Medical Education is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
