The Trauma Peer Review Committee is the tertiary level review which determines if further action is needed. Each specialty involved in the trauma patient care is present for the discussion. Specialties include but not limited to, Trauma, Orthopedics Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Anesthesiology, Radiology, Internal Medicine and Chief Medical Officer. In addition to imaging as evidence – based guidelines to support the evidence -based practice and that are used within discussions. The Trauma Systems Meeting is a multidepartment review to facilitate collaboration for the care of the trauma patient and related logistics.

1. Demonstrate evidence-based practice to improve quality and safety of patient care in management of the trauma patient. Develop practice change with opportunities identified through discussion of ACS practice standards. Critically evaluate trauma cases and identify opportunities to improve the quality and safety
2. Evaluate individual and team performances when caring for trauma patients during the continuum of care to develop performance improvement projects
3. Implement process changes and protocols based upon performance and review findings, discussion and outcomes data as evidenced in Peer and Systems Meeting

 

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received in writing no less than 20 days before the course will be refunded, less a 20% administrative fee. No refunds will be made on cancellations received after that date. Please send cancellation requests to [email protected].
